Day 20 – Rememberance Day in Toronto

I went with Katy and Anthony to the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Queens Park today. Surprised that today isn’t an actual holiday day for Ontario and there wasn’t as many people there as I was expecting for a city this size. It was a nice ceremony from what I could tell, we were standing toward the guns, the very large cannons that were very loud. It made me realize how easy it would be for a soldier to become shell shocked as I was feeling anxious from the sheer volume of the shots.

After the Ceremony I went for a walk with my camera and explored more of the downtown core. I got some architectural shots, general Toronto shots and a few abstract city shots. By the end of my day I had walked back to the Riverdale area where Katy and Anthony live. Needless to say the dogs are a little sore tonight as my choices in footwear could be improved.

Tomorrow I plan to get a transit day pass and go to a few other areas of the city. Then Friday I head out with a stop to see my friend Amanda before I figure out where my next stop will be.

All in all, a beautiful day in a Toronto.
